My Summer Holiday Essentials

I've been buying a lot of holiday bits lately and really wanted to show what I've got, I was going to do a haul post but instead I thought I would do a holiday essentials post, I will include the prices and shops below each picture. I have about a month until me and my girlfriend go on holiday, I am so so so excited!!! I've not had a chill out summer holiday in 7 years... that's just way too long for me. Abbie has never had a holiday like this, so we're very excited to sit by the pool, catch a tan and enjoy the all inclusive food and cocktails! We're across the road from the beach which I'm very happy about. We'll also enjoy a couple days at the waterpark.

So to start with I got 2 different sun lotions, I wanted 2 different factors as certain parts of me like to burn very quickly, such as my nose, chest and my shins. I got us shampoo and conditioner to share and a coconut shower gel, as you can see everything is coconut. (It's such a summer smell I made sure everything was coconut) I also got a detangler spray, a rapunzel one!! My hair is very long so this is an essential, plus chlorine and my hair aren't the best mix.

Sun lotion - £3.99 reduced to £2.69 in Home Bargains
Shampoo and conditioner - £1.49 in Home Bargains
Shower gel - £1 in Savers
Detangler - 99p in Home Bargains

I have to have strappy tops, so if I get a tan line I can keep it up by wearing the same style t-shirt. I tried on the pink t-shirt and I loved it, so of course I had to get black and white too.

T-shirts - £4 reduced to £3 in primark

Okay this is the most beautiful outfit I own, I've always wanted to buy a maxi skirt but I didn't think they would suit me.. until I tried one on. I fell in love with this skirt and I'm so happy I bought it, the t-shirt is a perfect match and is a perfect summer's evening outfit. I will be wearing this in the evening with some sandals.

Maxi skirt - £7.99 in H&M
T-shirt - £7.99 in H&M

I love a baggy t-shirt when I go away, my shoulders tend to burn very quickly so if I want them out of the sun, a short sleeved t-shirt is what I go for. I was looking for a tie-dye t-shirt and this one was perfect.

Mickey t-shirt - £4 in Primark
Tie-dye t-shirt - £10 from Rokit london (I would not recommend this website)

Playsuits and dresses, my favourite items of clothing! They're just so easy to chuck on and I own so many I'm going to have a hard time picking which ones to take.

L-R
Pineapple dress - Originally from Topshop (I got it for £3 at a bootsale)
Flowery dress - Forever 21
Tribal playsuit - H&M (I don't remember the price, no more than £15)
Pineapple playsuit - New Look

I have so many shorts, which ones should I take I need help!

TOP L-R then BOTTOM L-R
Acid wash denim shorts - New look
Black and white shorts - £4 in Primark
Daisy shorts - Forever 21
Multicoloured shorts -£4 in Primark
Black and white shorts - £4 in Primark
White denim shorts - £12 reduced to £8 in Primark

Me and Abbie thought we'd get these bottles for holiday, as we won't use all of the shampoo and conditioner and these bottles are perfect. You squeeze in whatever product you want to take, it comes with stickers so you know which is which, I've used them before and I think they're a great idea. I also got this beautiful makeup bag, it has glittery dolphins on it, what more could I want.

Toiletry bottles - £1 in Primark
Dolphin makeup bag - £2.99 in H&M

Of course you need some Euros! (probably more than this but it's all I have so far, it's okay got a month to go yet!), your passport, I love old style photographs so I am taking a disposable camera. I have so many sunglasses I'm a bit addicted to them at the moment, will end up taking at least 3 pairs.

Disposable camera - £5 in Asda
All sunglasses - around £2/£4 in Primark

I have so many bikini's, these are just a few but I'm going to have to limit myself, I don't need a bikini every day! I do prefer bikini's without straps so I don't have awkward tan lines, but I have found a couple bikini's with straps that I loved and had to buy! Swimming costumes are essential for waterparks in my opinion, especially on fast water rides, can't risk anything falling out!

L-R
Pink swimming costume - £5 in Sports Direct
Mint/purple bikini - around £12 for both pieces in Primark
Sailor style bikini - £4 in Primark (bought in 2014)
Black bikini - £7.99 per piece in New Look

Flip flops are a must for the pool, or the beach, or going to get food whilst lounging around the pool! I also have some pretty sandals that are easy to put on

L-R (flip-flops first)
Aztec flip flops - £2 in Primark
Ariel flip flops - £2.50 in Primark
Blue sandals - £8 in Primark
Pink crochet sandals - New Look (bought in 2014)
Brown sandals - Primark (bought in 2014, but the blue sandals are the same style)

Lastly you will need 2 towels! One for the pool and one for the beach, I got 2 that represent me best, the rainbow one (that just explains itself really) and Ariel as everyone who knows me knows I love The Little Mermaid and Disney!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, it's currently 1 month exactly until we go away so this has made me even more excited! Is it too early to pack? I'm ready to go now!!
If you guys would like a post about Disney clothes I own or Disney merchandise in general please let me know as that is something I would love to do!

Disneyland Paris SURPRISE!!!

Hi guys, I haven't posted on here since last year :( but I now have a decent laptop that I can actually use so that means I can blog more! So this is a random post but I felt like I wanted to blog, so I'm going to blog about the surprise I did for Abbie.

So in the beginning of April I officially decided I was going to take my girl to Disneyland Paris. I knew way before that I wanted to take her somewhere, we changed our plans about holidays as Abbie wants to drive and get a car, which is fair enough I'm so glad she's doing that. I didn't want her to miss out on going on holiday, so I thought I would take her away... Disneyland Paris then came into my mind. I did so much research looking at when was best to go, originally I was going to take her in January 2017. I'm not allowed time off in November which is when the Disney Christmas season begins. I thought I would ask my boss nicely, even though I wouldn't get paid holiday pay I didn't care, it's a dream of ours to go and I was so determined to make it happen. I was so lucky to be able to book 14th November - 18th November off!!! 5 days in Disney DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON!!! I wanted to text Abbie so bad to tell her I got the time off but obviously I couldn't as she had no idea. I decided to write on a piece of paper "We're going to Disneyland" and try and take pictures of the paper with Abbie in the picture, she had no idea I had taken any of these, there are only 6 but that's because I told her earlier than planned, oops.

Abbie was fast asleep, little did she know what I was up to!

She's just doing her makeup, no idea that I've even taken this picture

We FaceTime all the time when we're not together, I nearly got caught taking this one but she probably just thought I was on Twitter or something!

Abbie does her hair, Shannon takes a selfie

How close can I get?

Telling Abbie...

I realised I couldn't keep it a secret, there was no way. I wanted to tell her on her birthday which is 19th July, but that was 3 months away.. 3 months too many. So I thought I would tell her earlier, but I thought this was a good idea as she could ask for euros for her birthday if she wanted, and I would also have someone to get excited with. She was happy I told her early as well so thank god for that.
I knew how I was going to tell her, I had already planned my video how I wanted it to be. I was going to do a "stop motion" style video, it wasn't going to be perfect but I was so happy with how it turned out. I had a dilemma on the day of filming as my brothers tripod has a screw on top for the camera, but of course it didn't fit mine! I ended up switching to a smaller camera, cello taping the camera to the tripod. It worked, and survived the whole time I was filming! When I told Abbie it was a Friday evening and Abbie was out for a couple hours, I finished work and arrived at her house whilst she was out. This worked perfect for my plan as I wanted to put up some balloons, and set the camera up to film her reaction.

I wanted to do red, white and blue balloons as those are the colours of the French flag but I didn't want to give it away, I know they're also the same colour as our own flag, the American one and many others, but I didn't want to give anything away before she watched the video!

Please watch the video it makes me so happy to watch and I hope it makes you happy too. Her reaction was so cute and I am so happy with how it went. She was so confused but it was just adorable. I even made her a little certificate thing she could keep which told her where we was going, when and what I included in the trip.

Hope you guys found this post cute, I want to continue posting on here, I love writing and sharing random bits of my life. Me and Abbie have concerts and 2 holidays this year and would love to share my pictures and experiences. Thank you for reading love you all - Shannon :)
