My Summer Holiday Essentials

I've been buying a lot of holiday bits lately and really wanted to show what I've got, I was going to do a haul post but instead I thought I would do a holiday essentials post, I will include the prices and shops below each picture. I have about a month until me and my girlfriend go on holiday, I am so so so excited!!! I've not had a chill out summer holiday in 7 years... that's just way too long for me. Abbie has never had a holiday like this, so we're very excited to sit by the pool, catch a tan and enjoy the all inclusive food and cocktails! We're across the road from the beach which I'm very happy about. We'll also enjoy a couple days at the waterpark.

So to start with I got 2 different sun lotions, I wanted 2 different factors as certain parts of me like to burn very quickly, such as my nose, chest and my shins. I got us shampoo and conditioner to share and a coconut shower gel, as you can see everything is coconut. (It's such a summer smell I made sure everything was coconut) I also got a detangler spray, a rapunzel one!! My hair is very long so this is an essential, plus chlorine and my hair aren't the best mix.

Sun lotion - £3.99 reduced to £2.69 in Home Bargains
Shampoo and conditioner - £1.49 in Home Bargains
Shower gel - £1 in Savers
Detangler - 99p in Home Bargains

I have to have strappy tops, so if I get a tan line I can keep it up by wearing the same style t-shirt. I tried on the pink t-shirt and I loved it, so of course I had to get black and white too.

T-shirts - £4 reduced to £3 in primark

Okay this is the most beautiful outfit I own, I've always wanted to buy a maxi skirt but I didn't think they would suit me.. until I tried one on. I fell in love with this skirt and I'm so happy I bought it, the t-shirt is a perfect match and is a perfect summer's evening outfit. I will be wearing this in the evening with some sandals.

Maxi skirt - £7.99 in H&M
T-shirt - £7.99 in H&M

I love a baggy t-shirt when I go away, my shoulders tend to burn very quickly so if I want them out of the sun, a short sleeved t-shirt is what I go for. I was looking for a tie-dye t-shirt and this one was perfect.

Mickey t-shirt - £4 in Primark
Tie-dye t-shirt - £10 from Rokit london (I would not recommend this website)

Playsuits and dresses, my favourite items of clothing! They're just so easy to chuck on and I own so many I'm going to have a hard time picking which ones to take.

L-R
Pineapple dress - Originally from Topshop (I got it for £3 at a bootsale)
Flowery dress - Forever 21
Tribal playsuit - H&M (I don't remember the price, no more than £15)
Pineapple playsuit - New Look

I have so many shorts, which ones should I take I need help!

TOP L-R then BOTTOM L-R
Acid wash denim shorts - New look
Black and white shorts - £4 in Primark
Daisy shorts - Forever 21
Multicoloured shorts -£4 in Primark
Black and white shorts - £4 in Primark
White denim shorts - £12 reduced to £8 in Primark

Me and Abbie thought we'd get these bottles for holiday, as we won't use all of the shampoo and conditioner and these bottles are perfect. You squeeze in whatever product you want to take, it comes with stickers so you know which is which, I've used them before and I think they're a great idea. I also got this beautiful makeup bag, it has glittery dolphins on it, what more could I want.

Toiletry bottles - £1 in Primark
Dolphin makeup bag - £2.99 in H&M

Of course you need some Euros! (probably more than this but it's all I have so far, it's okay got a month to go yet!), your passport, I love old style photographs so I am taking a disposable camera. I have so many sunglasses I'm a bit addicted to them at the moment, will end up taking at least 3 pairs.

Disposable camera - £5 in Asda
All sunglasses - around £2/£4 in Primark

I have so many bikini's, these are just a few but I'm going to have to limit myself, I don't need a bikini every day! I do prefer bikini's without straps so I don't have awkward tan lines, but I have found a couple bikini's with straps that I loved and had to buy! Swimming costumes are essential for waterparks in my opinion, especially on fast water rides, can't risk anything falling out!

L-R
Pink swimming costume - £5 in Sports Direct
Mint/purple bikini - around £12 for both pieces in Primark
Sailor style bikini - £4 in Primark (bought in 2014)
Black bikini - £7.99 per piece in New Look

Flip flops are a must for the pool, or the beach, or going to get food whilst lounging around the pool! I also have some pretty sandals that are easy to put on

L-R (flip-flops first)
Aztec flip flops - £2 in Primark
Ariel flip flops - £2.50 in Primark
Blue sandals - £8 in Primark
Pink crochet sandals - New Look (bought in 2014)
Brown sandals - Primark (bought in 2014, but the blue sandals are the same style)

Lastly you will need 2 towels! One for the pool and one for the beach, I got 2 that represent me best, the rainbow one (that just explains itself really) and Ariel as everyone who knows me knows I love The Little Mermaid and Disney!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, it's currently 1 month exactly until we go away so this has made me even more excited! Is it too early to pack? I'm ready to go now!!
If you guys would like a post about Disney clothes I own or Disney merchandise in general please let me know as that is something I would love to do!

Disneyland Paris SURPRISE!!!

Hi guys, I haven't posted on here since last year :( but I now have a decent laptop that I can actually use so that means I can blog more! So this is a random post but I felt like I wanted to blog, so I'm going to blog about the surprise I did for Abbie.

So in the beginning of April I officially decided I was going to take my girl to Disneyland Paris. I knew way before that I wanted to take her somewhere, we changed our plans about holidays as Abbie wants to drive and get a car, which is fair enough I'm so glad she's doing that. I didn't want her to miss out on going on holiday, so I thought I would take her away... Disneyland Paris then came into my mind. I did so much research looking at when was best to go, originally I was going to take her in January 2017. I'm not allowed time off in November which is when the Disney Christmas season begins. I thought I would ask my boss nicely, even though I wouldn't get paid holiday pay I didn't care, it's a dream of ours to go and I was so determined to make it happen. I was so lucky to be able to book 14th November - 18th November off!!! 5 days in Disney DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON!!! I wanted to text Abbie so bad to tell her I got the time off but obviously I couldn't as she had no idea. I decided to write on a piece of paper "We're going to Disneyland" and try and take pictures of the paper with Abbie in the picture, she had no idea I had taken any of these, there are only 6 but that's because I told her earlier than planned, oops.

Abbie was fast asleep, little did she know what I was up to!

She's just doing her makeup, no idea that I've even taken this picture

We FaceTime all the time when we're not together, I nearly got caught taking this one but she probably just thought I was on Twitter or something!

Abbie does her hair, Shannon takes a selfie

How close can I get?

Telling Abbie...

I realised I couldn't keep it a secret, there was no way. I wanted to tell her on her birthday which is 19th July, but that was 3 months away.. 3 months too many. So I thought I would tell her earlier, but I thought this was a good idea as she could ask for euros for her birthday if she wanted, and I would also have someone to get excited with. She was happy I told her early as well so thank god for that.
I knew how I was going to tell her, I had already planned my video how I wanted it to be. I was going to do a "stop motion" style video, it wasn't going to be perfect but I was so happy with how it turned out. I had a dilemma on the day of filming as my brothers tripod has a screw on top for the camera, but of course it didn't fit mine! I ended up switching to a smaller camera, cello taping the camera to the tripod. It worked, and survived the whole time I was filming! When I told Abbie it was a Friday evening and Abbie was out for a couple hours, I finished work and arrived at her house whilst she was out. This worked perfect for my plan as I wanted to put up some balloons, and set the camera up to film her reaction.

I wanted to do red, white and blue balloons as those are the colours of the French flag but I didn't want to give it away, I know they're also the same colour as our own flag, the American one and many others, but I didn't want to give anything away before she watched the video!

Please watch the video it makes me so happy to watch and I hope it makes you happy too. Her reaction was so cute and I am so happy with how it went. She was so confused but it was just adorable. I even made her a little certificate thing she could keep which told her where we was going, when and what I included in the trip.

Hope you guys found this post cute, I want to continue posting on here, I love writing and sharing random bits of my life. Me and Abbie have concerts and 2 holidays this year and would love to share my pictures and experiences. Thank you for reading love you all - Shannon :)

Meeting Selena Gomez!

Well here is my meeting Selena Gomez experience! I knew she was going to be doing BBC Radio 1's live lounge on the 25th September so I thought I would try meet her there. I knew I would have to leave early so I left at 5:07am.. I was falling asleep on the train!! I was so tired, but Selena has been so lovely meeting fans this week so I had a good feeling. I met my friend Tema at Oxford Street station and we walked to Radio 1 together. We got there around 7am and there was about 20 other people there. We met with my friend Rachel and just sat there and chatted. (it was so so so cold it felt like winter!) They hadn't put barriers up, eventually they did and we managed to get at the front which made me so happy, if you aren't at the barrier it normally means you won't get a picture. Thankfully we were at the front. Some time passed, it got to just after 10am and Selena's car pulled up, she got out and as it was the other end from where we was we couldn't see her for ages. She started meeting fans before she went in.. that never happens! She came early just to meet fans, she's literally the sweetest person ever. Everyone was so calm and nice to her which made it so much better. She was working her way down, getting closer.. I was so nervous. She took fans phones to take selfies, I was thinking I may have to do the same as it's so cold my hands have gone numb. She was right in front of me so I said to her "I love your dress" and she said "Aw thank you so much, I feel all sparkly!" someone managed to get it on video too!!! Then it was my turn for my selfie, I asked her if she could take the picture for me as my hands were so cold and she said of course!
Selfie number 1!!

Selfie number 2!! (THAT NOSE SCRUNCH IS SO CUTE)

This girl near us got this picture of Selena taking our picture, and I couldn't be more grateful, this is one of my most favourite pictures ever. She looks so cute in it too!

I am just so happy and so grateful for this experience, thank you so much Selena.
25th September 2015.

#FriendsFest in London!

Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have so many problems with this laptop I can barely go on it as it's so slow! I want to get a new one but I just can't afford it at the moment, especially when Christmas is just a couple months away. I will post whenever I can though I will try my best. So today I am going to share my experience at #FriendsFest in London! For any of you guys that don't know about it, I will explain. Comedy Central UK hosted an event which any Friends fan would love to be apart of (I was a lucky one and got tickets, which only cost £5 might I add!!!) They had loads of props from different episodes, Joey and Chandler's aparetment, the Friends fountain, the sofa, Central Perk and Monica's Apartment! I am going to share lots of pictures!
This was Rachel's 18 page letter to Ross, I remember this episode.. Ross did not read that letter! Also at the top is baby Emma!
The Friends fountain! It was raining quite a lot so the picture worked out pretty well with the umbrella's! They ended up having to shut this bit off because it rained so much so I'm glad we got our picture in time.

This was SO unexpected! We walked around the corner and see Gunther sitting on the Friends couch.. the real Gunther!!! I was so shocked, we queued just a couple minutes to get a picture with him, he greeted me with his name and asked me my name too, he was so lovely to meet and hasn't changed a bit.

We had to get pictures on these chairs of course!

The most amazing bit was Monica's apartment.. looking at this now, I still can't believe I took this picture, it just looks like I was at her apartment, everything was amazing, even the shelves had random American foods, I was amazed by it and this was my favourite bit by far.

Another bit of the apartment, how crazy is this?!

A free photobooth?! Well we do love a photobooth so we had to take advantage of that! They had Friends themed props so of course we were going to use them.. kind of wanted to wear the wedding dress or the cheer leading outfit there but wearing it over my jumper would have looked a little odd.

This was so much fun.. Abbie beat me!

And that is everything! I can't explain how amazing it was, I wish every Friends fan got to experience it.. I always wanted to go to the set in LA, and that won't happen for a long time so this experience was so amazing, I saw the fountain in New York and loved that, so this was a dream!

Abbie's 18th Birthday!

July 19th, the date of my beautiful girls birthday. Abbie turned 18 at last and I got to spoil her! For her birthday she had a family gathering thing which was really nice, I met some of her family for the first time too.

Abbie looked absolutely gorgeous, she wore this flowery tshirt which I think looks so good on her, I saw it in H&M and told her she has to get it!

On Abbie's birthday morning I got to give her all the presents I've been wanting to give her for so long! I got her some bits she wanted, such as a bomber jacket from Topshop, some tshirts, Donald Duck pjs and a few other little bits! I also made her a scrapbook, I'd been working on it for months and I hope she loves it just as much as I do. It's very special and full of all our memories.

My drunken girl on her birthday night out. We went to a pub with a group of her friends to celebrate her birthday, they all got her a lot of drinks, and shots... let's just say the night ended in me holding Abbie's hair back!! She seemed to have a wonderful birthday weekend and that makes me very happy, next one is my 21st!!!

Disneyland Paris 2015

Hi guys! Finally my first ever blog post.. and it's going to be a good one! I've wanted to start a blog for ages, I love sharing my pictures, I'm constantly posting them on Twitter and Instagram, but I wanted a place I could share more and talk about them. I don't think I will have a theme for this blog, it'll be a bit of everything about my life from holidays to days out, to my favourite makeup or a film I really love. I will obviously post lots of fun things me and Abbie do together!

So for my first blog post I'm going to talk about the most exciting thing that has happened this year.. DISNEYLAND PARIS! I have sooo many pictures I wish I could include them all, I have a mixture of pictures from Abbie's camera and my camera, if you'd like to see more just let me know, there's plenty! Here's a few from the most magical place on earth.

Hotel Cheyenne! This is where we stayed, typical we was in the block that was furthest away from the park, but it was lovely. I've stayed here before when I was about 13. I love the layout of this hotel, Disney put in so much detail into everything! The room was adorable and cowboy themed.. and we got those mini shampoo things with the Mickey Mouse lid which are so cute.

I remember taking this picture and I thought "Oh that looks pretty let me take a picture".. I couldn't see a thing on the screen and just hoped for the best, and it actually turned out to be such a beautiful picture, I just love it so much and I have no idea why.

Disneyland balloons are so cute, I must admit the ones in Disneyworld Florida are so much better, we was going to buy one but this was the only selection they had.

Is anyone else super excited to see Inside Out or is it just me? It was advertised so much, they were already selling merchandise and the film isn't even out yet. It looks really funny, and for some reason I also really love this picture!

I really love this picture of me and my beautiful girlfriend. The weather was so hot and sunny every day we was there, we got so lucky. Although it was too hot as on the Wednesday it reached 40 degrees Celsius, but at least it didn't rain!

My beautiful girlfriend on the teacup ride! I am so happy I got to experience this holiday with her, she makes me so happy I can't explain.

The parade! I can't listen to "Celebrate the Magic" without missing this place now. It was so cute, I just felt like a big kid waving at all the characters, I loved all the floats, seeing all the characters made me very happy.

Disney's frozen summer fun! They did a water fountain display every night before the fireworks, and it was so beautiful, the castle lit up and sparkled, the water fountains went up in time to the music and I remember watching it and feeling so happy, I didn't want it to end, the fireworks and the fountain show was magical.

I had the song from Tangled memorised after seeing the fireworks each night, it reminds me of this and I love it. This was one of my favourite parts.

The Disney Dreams fireworks is the most magical thing I've ever experienced. I can't explain to you guys the happiness I felt in Disneyland. If you love Disney and you've been before then you will understand exactly what I mean. You never want to leave and you can't think of anywhere else that would make you happier. I got to go there with my girlfriend and experience our first holiday together and it couldn't have been more perfect. I hope you guys enjoyed my first blog post, please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Speak to you soon. :)
